Here's what's interesting about the Torre, not unfamiliar to big projects built in the "Third World" (aren't we in the EU?): large international commisions ("big fancy projects") in/near slums ("pre-redeveloped sites"). Note the foreground.

Dissapointingly, the much-heralded 40-color glazing doesn't limn from within at night in a multihued way. Other than visible elevator action, no other activity or services: it looks quite static at night. From the South, the blue fluorescents of the Hotel Arts make abigger impression:
The Torre Agbar: from this layperson's view, an effort with higher, perhaps more *manly (bad phallic riff) aspirations than are fulfilled.

I think a prophylactic maker would do well to replicvate the 40 colors of Torre Agbar on their condoms, at least on their xl versions.
